The yoomzoom app, a preview

Short videos of the app in use, from posting an item to the photo at drop-off. They were recorded on a test build, with made-up people and items.

All seven how-tos on YouTube

yoomzoom opens in North Carolina on November 30, 2026. Until then nothing can be posted or claimed, and the waitlist is how you hear the day it opens.

Its narration is written out below the player. 69 seconds.

What it says

Every day, someone in North Carolina drives from Charlotte to Raleigh with an empty back seat. And someone else needs something on that same road: a guitar for tonight's gig, two boxes for a daughter at college, a bike, an armchair off Marketplace. Some of it's too awkward to ship. Some of it just has to be there today. So we built yoomzoom. Post what you're sending, and when it needs to get there. A driver already making that drive picks a time, and brings it along. Even the same day, if someone's heading that way. You're sharing a trip that's happening anyway, not paying for one of its own. Already driving it anyway? Tell us the drives you make. Most jobs fit in a back seat or a trunk, and the ones that fit your car come to you. You keep 85% of every job. Every pickup gets a code and a photo. Every drop-off, a photo. And you'll know when it's picked up, and when it's there. yoomzoom launches in North Carolina on November 30. Join the waitlist at yoomzoom.com. It was going that way anyway.

Sending something

Post it, then say yes to a driver's time.

How to send something with yoomzoom

What it says

Here's how to send something with yoomzoom. On Home, tap Send something. Start with where the item is, and where it's going. Add a photo. The app reads it, and fills in what it is, a short description for drivers, the size, and rough measurements. Check the size, because it sets the price. Then tick anything a driver should know, like stairs, or keep it dry. Say who hands it over: you, someone you know, or a store counter. Pick how soon it needs to go. Each window shows its price, and a wider window costs less. Post it. Drivers already making that drive are told right away. That's it. You'll hear as soon as a driver picks a time.

How to confirm your driver

What it says

A driver picked a time for your item. Here's what to do. You're told as soon as a driver picks a time. Open the job. If the time works, tap Works. That's when your card is charged. You get a six digit pickup code. Share it with whoever hands the item over. The driver can't take it without the code. Your driver's updates show up here, and you're told when it's on the way. From here, you'll know when it's picked up, and when it's delivered.

Driving

Your vehicles, the drives you already make, and the jobs on them.

How to add your vehicles

What it says

Drive more than one vehicle? Here's how to add them. Open Profile. Your vehicles are listed under Vehicles. Tap Add a vehicle, and say what it is, and its make and model. Pick every space it gives an item. A minivan has the van space. A pickup might have the bed and the back seat. Say whether it can tow a small trailer, then add it. Both are on your profile now, ready to pick when you declare a drive. Now each drive you declare can say which vehicle it's in.

How to declare a drive you already make

What it says

Here's how to declare a drive you already make. On Home, tap Declare a trip. Enter where the drive starts, and where it ends. Pick the days you drive it, and roughly when you leave. Every week is the default. Driving back too? Tap And back, and pick the day you return. Choose the vehicle you're taking. Matching reads the space it gives. Open the job sheet. These are the jobs that fit this drive. Not driving it one week? Tap that day under the drive, and nothing is matched to it. Matches are an invitation, never a commitment. You only take what suits you.

How to claim a job

What it says

Here's how to take a job on a drive you've declared. On your job sheet, open a job. Read the details. The app checks the item's size against your vehicle, so you know it fits before you say yes. Tap Claim a moment, and pick a two hour slot inside the sender's window. The sender sees your time, and says yes with one tap. That's it. The sender confirms your time with one tap, and you'll be told.

The handover

A code and a photo at pickup, a photo at drop-off.

How a pickup works

What it says

Here's how a pickup works. Heading to the pickup? Tap On my way, and pick how long. The sender gets the time. When you arrive, tap I'm here, so they know to come out with the code. Tap Verify pickup. First, take a photo of the item as it's handed over. Then enter the code they give you. That's the pickup done. If nobody comes, or the item isn't what was listed, you can hand it to our team right here. Picked up. The sender is told, and the drop-off is next.

How a drop-off works

What it says

Here's how a drop-off works, for the driver and the sender. On the way to the drop-off, send an update, so the sender knows when it'll arrive. At the drop-off, tap Verify drop-off, and take a photo of the item where you leave it. Nobody has to be there. The sender sees the photo, and taps All good. If something's wrong, they report it within a day instead. Once it's signed off, the driver is paid, within two days of drop-off.
