A quick update, and who we are

Hey everyone, just a quick update from us!
We’ve been working hard on the yoomzoom mobile app and the web marketplace, and we’re getting close. We still plan to launch very soon, hopefully by the end of November.
So, who are we?
yoomzoom was started by two friends from North Carolina, Chris and RJ. The idea goes back years. It came out of a problem we kept running into ourselves.
It isn’t always a big item. Sometimes it’s just an awkward one. Say you need a part to fix your truck, and the only one you can find is in Charlotte while you’re in Raleigh. Shipping something like that the usual way can easily double what you paid for it. So you end up driving there yourself, or talking a friend into helping. Either way it means a dedicated round trip and most of a day gone.
For years we figured somebody would build something for this. It needed to exist, and nobody built it. So this year we stopped waiting and built it ourselves.
People drive between NC cities every day. yoomzoom connects you with someone who’s already headed your way and has room for your item, so nobody has to make an extra trip.
Help us spread the word
We’re still working out the best ways to let people know yoomzoom exists, and we’re starting on the I-85/I-40 corridor between Charlotte, Greensboro and Raleigh. If you live along that route, keep an eye out. You may start seeing yoomzoom signs around town soon.
And if you know someone who makes that drive all the time, or someone stuck waiting on a part or a purchase that’s a couple of cities away, send them our way!
