Get paid for the drive you’re already making.
If you run any stretch of I-85 or I-40 through North Carolina, whether that’s a commute, family visits or game weekends, there’s empty space in your car worth money. Senders post couches, guitars and Marketplace finds with a delivery window. You claim the one sitting on your route and keep about 85% of what they paid.
Launching October 2026. The list is open now, and founding drivers get first claim on their corridor.
What your route pays
Your cut of one couch-sized (large) item, on every corridor route, either direction. The low end is the sender’s relaxed 3-day-window price and the high end is what they pay for next-day. Your share of both is the same ~85%. Smaller items pay less, extra-large pays more.

How driving works
- 01
Tell us the drive you already make
Work, school, family: the corridor run that's on your calendar regardless. That route is where your jobs will sit.
- 02
Claim what fits, skip what doesn't
Jobs come with a delivery window, not a dispatch time. Take the couch that rides along Thursday; ignore everything that doesn't suit you. Nothing is ever assigned.
- 03
Photo-confirm, get paid in 2 days
Pickup and drop-off are photo- and code-verified. The sender's money already sits in escrow, and your payout lands within two days. No invoicing, no chasing.
What you need
Said plainly: standard personal auto policies exclude carrying property for a fee. We’ll publish exactly what platform coverage does and doesn’t include before launch. Before anyone drives, not after a claim.
Driver questions, answered straight
How much do yoomzoom drivers actually earn?
Drivers keep about 85% of what the sender pays. A Charlotte–Raleigh couch pays you roughly $94–123: the low end when the sender picked a relaxed 3-day window, the high end when they paid for next-day. Shorter routes and smaller items pay less. The payout for every corridor route is in the table above.
The full earnings guide, route by routeWhen and how do I get paid?
Deliver, snap the drop-off photo, and the payout lands within two days. The sender's payment has been sitting in escrow since before you picked the item up, so there's no invoicing and no chasing anyone for money.
Do I have to make special trips or be on call?
No, and that's the whole point. This isn't on-demand dispatch. You tell us the drive you already make, and jobs whose windows sit on that route show up for you. Claim one when it fits, ignore them all when it doesn't. Nothing is ever assigned to you.
Do I need a special license or a box truck?
No. Any car with room counts: a sedan trunk, an SUV, a pickup, a van. At launch you'll need to be 18 or older with a valid NC driver's license, current auto insurance and a smartphone, plus a background check that runs when you claim your first job, not when you sign up. No commercial license, no CDL, no box truck.
Does my car insurance cover driving for yoomzoom?
The straight answer: standard personal auto policies exclude carrying property for a fee, so your existing policy alone likely won't cover this activity. We will publish exactly what platform coverage includes, and what stays on you, before launch and before anyone drives. If you already drive for gig platforms, many insurers offer a delivery endorsement worth asking about.
The insurance guide for driversWhat does being a founding driver get me?
Join the driver list and declare your corridor, and you get first claim on jobs along that route when it opens. Corridors open where the demand is, so early drivers on a route are also the ones deciding which routes go live first.
When does driving open?
We launch in October 2026, starting with the I-85 spine (Charlotte through the Triad to Durham and Raleigh), with the I-40 legs west to Asheville and east to Wilmington right behind it. Today the site is a waitlist. Nothing is booked yet, and drivers on the list hear first.
Founding drivers get first claim.
Join the driver list, declare the drive you already make, and jobs on that route are yours to claim first when it opens in October 2026. One email at launch, no spam.
