Glass boxes, moved like glass.

For Aquarium and reptile hobbyists, breeders, tank flippers. Post the item with a delivery window; a driver already making the I-85/I-40 drive carries it — unboxed, photo-confirmed, at a flat price you can put in the listing.

Why this category ships badly

Big tanks are Large Package by definition

A 75-gallon tank at 48×18×21 inches is 18,144 cubic inches — past the 17,280 in³ Large Package line before you even wrap it. The surcharge alone can exceed the tank's used price.

Glass and claims don't mix

Carriers broadly exclude or fight coverage on glass — if it arrives cracked, the claim usually dies at 'inherently fragile item'.

Local-pickup-only shrinks your market

So tank sales sit on Marketplace for weeks waiting for the one buyer with a truck within twenty minutes.

Check your exact item against the published 2026 thresholds with the oversize surcharge checker.

What yoomzoom does differently

  • Rides flat and padded in one vehicle, handled by one person, no conveyor and no drop between belts.
  • Photo at pickup, photo at dropoff — condition documented at both ends.
  • Your listing can say 'delivery available on the corridor' instead of 'local pickup only'.

A worked example

A 75-gallon tank with stand (large class), Raleigh to Wilmington — about 137 miles:

3-day window ≈ $1002-day window ≈ $1151-day window ≈ $130

Estimates, shown upfront before you post — every corridor pair is priced at /routes. Same price either direction.
